Wow. This is absolutely fantastic. I can only hope that one day I’ll be in a position to resign from a company, knowing full well my resignation will be leaked onto the interwebs, and I have enough wits about me to compose a letter even half as amusing as this one. If that day ever comes, I’ll know I’ve made it. Kudos, Stewart Butterfield. Visit site »

In the past four days, I’ve watched two and a half seasons of Weeds, and I’m really enjoying the show. In particular, I love the theme song (Malvina Reynold’s “Little Boxes“) which, in seasons two and three, is performed by a different artist for each episode. But here, Romany Malco (who plays Conrad on the show) drops his own entertaining version. Thanks to Bret, who pointed me to this on a comment on this site. Visit site »

Just how will Apple meet expectations? Using the patent application as a guide, Apple appears to be making room on the iPhone for flash memory, which means an end to Apple’s standoff with Adobe (ADBE) that’s kept iPhones from easily viewing a plethora of Internet videos. Apple has said that Adobe’s flash media player, which is on hundreds of other phones, doesn’t perform up to Apple’s standards for the iPhone.

Wow. Just, wow. Visit site »

The Daily Gazette has chosen not to publish obituaries on its Web site to preserve the value of its print and paid online editions. To view obituaries from The Daily Gazette online, you can subscribe to the paid electronic edition by clicking here.

This is probably the most egregious example of “not getting it” I’ve ever seen in the online journalism world. Visit site »

Check out the “latest news” section — see the tee-shirt icon next to each story? If you click it, you can buy a shirt with that headline on it. Seriously. This is probably the worst idea in the history of the internet. Wow. The best part, though, is that the headline is URL-encoded in the URI, so I was able to make my own. Visit site »

Hillary argued that Memphis had passed every test during the game, including scoring more points than Kansas for 38 minutes. For 38 minutes they had shown the experience necessary to be National Champion. “Just because some team comes along in the last minute and scores more points than the other guy doesn’t mean they’re necessarily able to be National Champion on Day One,” she said.
