Hustwit, director of the great graphic design documentary Helvetica, is now making a film called Objectified, which covers the area of industrial design. From the site, it looks to involve such greats as Dieter Rams and Jonathan Ive. Awesome. Can’t wait. Visit site »
Harry slurps Cloverfield, J.J. Abrhams’ new flick, to an astonishing degree. I’m not sure what to make of that, but I do want to see it. At this pointm, I’m pretty convinced it’s going to be entertaining. I’m not so convinced it’s going to be brilliant, as Knowles says — but whatever. Entertaining is good enough for me. Visit site »
A really glowing and well-written review. I saw the film a few days ago and loved it. Everything in this review echoes how I felt when I was watching it. But, I think the review makes one major omission: it fails to mention what I thought was the creepiest part of the whole production — there was a single note of music in it. The silence was deafening. Visit site »
The new Speed Racer film, by the Wachowski bothers and starring Emile Hirsch, Matthew Fox, and Christina Ricci, looks pretty badass. Visit site »
Congrats to Leslie Jensen-Inman, who did a ton of graphic design work for “The Invasion,” the new flick staring Nicole Kidman. The film was released this weekend, and WDEF Chattanooga profiles Leslie’s involvement, and her new teaching job at UTC. Having met Leslie several times, I can say sincerely that Shaun is one lucky dude — Leslie rocks. Visit site »

Never a good idea to attack the dude holding the microphone. Funny, but includes plenty of NSFW language. Visit site »

The burial site of Jesus has been found and suggests he had a wife and son, according to highly sensitive claims in a documentary by “Titanic” director James Cameron and Israel-born Simcha Jacobovici. If this is accurate (and it’s really hard to tell at this point), it basically puts forth a real-life Da Vinci Code situation, challenging the basic tenants of Christianity as we know it. Interesting stuff. Visit site »
A funny collection. Porn seems like it was so innocent back then. Seems mostly save for my work, at least — but be careful. Visit site »
A whole batch of screenings have been announced for the film, and there’s one in KC. If I can’t make it to the premiere at SXSW, I’m there. Visit site »
Sweet! The Helvetica film will debut at SXSW. Does anyone know if people who only have an Interactive badge can pay to get in to films, or do you actually have to have a Film badge? Visit site »
