Around 800,000 Volkswagen vehicles have been recalled Monday because of faulty brake lights. My 2005 Jetta GLI’s brake lights got stuck permanently on several months ago. I guess this explains it. Wow, 800,000 cars is a lot. Bad, bad news for VW, PR-wise. Visit site »
I link this not so much because I’m enthralled by this car as because I’m excited that chances are looking so good for electric cars. The Tesla guys and a handful of others are showing that performance is not an issue. Within the next five years or so, there should be lots of electrics to choose from, even in America. Awesome. Jacob’s been talking about this car for a while, as a friend of his is involved with it, but he couldn’t say much, thanks to NDA. Now, it’s all out in the public, and it’s amazing. Something of a cross between an Elise and a Ferarri design-wise, the thing performs amazingly well and is 100% electric. In my opinion, rich people have a duty to buy one of these things.
