Harper Reed on web hosting
Harper Reed of skinnyCorp gives a rundown of web hosting companies he’s had success with. He gives my personal favorite, WebFaction, an absolutely glowing review, and also has nice things to say about Mosso, MediaTemple, FDCservers, and Rackspace

Media Temple offering Django beta program
Having played with a friend’s (mt) Django setup, I can say that it’s definitely well done. Neat, clean setup that works well. Personally, I’m sticking with [WebFaction(http://www.webfaction.com/?affiliate=jcroft) — they’ve always been great to me and I simply have no reason to switch. But, it’s great to see another reputable name in hosting jumping on the Django bandwagon. Welcome to the party, (mt)!

Webfaction just got a lot better
Webfaction, my favorite Django host, has drastically improved its plans (and redesigned its website). They now offer unlimited websites, domains, e-mails, databases, and applications on all plans — plus, they’ve increased the amount of bandwidth, RAM, and disk space each plan gets.
Besides being great at Django, WebFaction also does Rails, TurboGears, and several other modern development environments.
Booyah! Go getcha some WebFaction!

Django and (mt), sittin’ in a tree.
Django now works on popular web host Media Temple. I am still loving Web Faction and don’t intend to switch, but I’ve always heard nothing but good things about (mt), so it’s certainly an option worth considering.

Further proof that 1&1 Internet is the most evil company on the face of the earth
Yet another person having a horrible experience with 1&1. Seriously, avoid these so-called “we hosts” at all costs. They’re unbelievably horrific.

WebFaction gives you cheap Django hosting for Christmas
Following the talk on John Udell’s blog, WebFaction has stepped up to the plate to offer mod_python/Django hosting starting at just $7.50/mo. Although I’ve not used it, I think it’s safe to say this is probably the best inexpensive Django hosting solution out there now. They specialize in agile framework hosting, have an easy, control-panel-based install, and have a screencast showing you how to get started with Django. Also a great option for TurboGears and Rails developers.
