Definitely the most impressive “iPhone killer” to date. The hardware specs best the iPhone all the way across the board. Sony’s created a new UI for Windows Mobile, which is likely to be impressive (Sony does pretty good UIs), but unlikely to be better than the iPhone’s (in my opinion). Overall, this looks like a great new phone. I love the arc-sliding QWERTY action.
Some nice photos of the new Mylo. I love the side, form factor, and UI of this thing, but without a higher-resolution screen and Bluetooth connectivity, I just can’t see the value in it. This thing is absolutely built for IMing — and yet, there’s no way to get online with it when you’re outside a WiFI hotspot? Bummer.
The new Sony Mylo is interesting, stands to be hella popular, and looks pretty cool, but it’s specs are a real letdown. There’s no Bluetooth (which means I can only use it where there’s Wi-Fi), the Wi-Fi is 802.11b only, and the screen is a pathetic 320 pixels wide. Give me Bluetooth and 800 pixels at 220dpi and I’ll consider leaving my Nokia 770.
