High Quality Blob Faces

Man, Apple is right… iSight video is super sharp and usable. It looks exactly like it’s advertised: www.apple.com/macosx/features/ichat/

Maybe you didn’t say “Boom!” enough? ;-) How do you find those headphones? I’ve been considering a pair myself (assuming that they’re the Bose around-ear ones I think they are).

but with a group like that do you really want to see their faces clearly? I’d think not but that’s just me.

Actually I am using eyeglasses… You should see how bad it is without it.

Yeah, nice and crisp. iChat will actually choose a frame size based on (perceived) bandwidth, with 640x480 as the largest supported size. Try setting your “Streaming Speed” in the QuickTime pref panel to the fastest possible speed and then relaunching iChat.

it seems to depend on network speed or something? we’ve had it super crisp when chatting with faruk, but he’s on apple’s network as are we, so maybe it’s faster or something. but if we chat with faruk and he’s at home, then it’s fuzzy.
