Seattle Space Needle and Experience Music Project

The Experience Music Project (EMP) is a museum of music history founded by Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, located on the campus of the Seattle Center. The building was designed by Frank Gehry, and resembles many of his firm’s other works in its sheet-metal construction, such as Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Walt Disney Concert Hall and Gehry Tower.

The Space Needle is a tower in the Seattle Center that is a major landmark of the Pacific Northwest. It was built for the 1962 World’s Fair.

    This is super! We lived in Everett for a few years and were around Seattle regularly enough to watch the EMP as it was being built. Love the composition of this shot and the color treatment adds a nice accent.
