Nah, just do what I’ve done: I a) turned off all notifications, b) covered up the div where the contact box goes, and c) deleted most of my profile information, so that no one but those already on my list can interact with me at all. Works like a charm, never had a problem. Also, I only use Myspace to communicate with friends in a somewhat better-than-email way.
