A really complete and nice-looking CSS framework that satisfies one common complaint about many CSS framework: lack of fluid-width support (I personally usually go fixed-width, but I know this is an issue for a lot of people). Saw this and thought it’d be great for more interactive wireframing. So much in here…
hmmm… I personally don’t use fluid layouts that much but I have to admit that sometimes they would come in handy - lets say a massive list of tables ergo backend and so on… I like the fluidity but fixed width is just easier to code up and less buggy. One of the major problems I see with fluidity is that clients cant grab it in a wireframe or screenshot(layout) stage running the risk of major changes. While a fixed width layout is more like: what you see is what you get.
Ok thats enough - great blog! sam
I’m currently a fan of 960.gs, and I prefer fixed-width layouts as well, but the fluid-width is tempting…I’ll take a look at it. Cheers Jeff! :)
I looked at this a few months back since we wanted to satisfy more people so 960.gs would get into Drupal. Unfortunately, IE has really bad rounding errors making it unusable for us.
I’m also not so keen on fluid layouts. I used to like elastic layouts the most but there’s no future for that.
I don’t use fluid layout and I am not keen on them, I prefer things to have fixed widths.
