Looks interesting at a glance. I haven’t checked out the code, so I’m not sure. If you’re needing non-web fonts in sucky browsers, it may be worth looking into.

    I agree, interesting at a glance. However, a caveat of FLIR is that it requires “PHP and GD (with FreeType enabled, and PNG support)” be installed on the server. sIFR is done entirely client side [using Flash, JavaScript and CSS] and has no server requirements at all, making sIFR a much more portable solution between hosting environments and a hands-down winner between the two [for me].
