Lea talks about our lack of shared vocabulary, and how it tends to make our discussions devolve into semantic poo-flinging matches, rather than addresses the real questions at hand (I think you could make the case that this is at least part of what’s happened here at jeffcroft.com over the past several days). This has been a topic of discussion at Blue Flavor lately. Brian likes to talk about how, similarly, we have no shared criteria for evaluating web design. It’s difficult to analyze web design in the academic sense, because the criteria for what makes for great design on the web isn’t well-defined.
