AOpen’s Mac, err, Windows Mini
Have they no shame? I just don’t get how anyone could do something like this and feel okay about it. I guess it’s just the mentality of a creative person (which AOpen is clearly not) versus that of someone more business-minded. I just think I’d be embarra

Giant Squid photographed for the first time.
Incredible. It’s amazing that the giant squid hadn’t been photographed before now. From the encounter, it would seem the world’s largest invertebrate is more aggressive than previously thought. Very cool.

LOST: Adrift
I promise there will be posts here that aren’t about LOST soon. But, they won’t be today, because last night’s episode kicked ass. I suspect the causal watchers of the show (wait — are there casual watchers of this show?) might have been disappointed with the lack of progression in the Kate/Jack/Locke in-the-hatch storyline, but there were so many little details to pick up on in Season Two, Episode Two that it was all worthwhile.
Here are some of the things I noticed.

LOST: Guys, where are we?
So last night I finished LOST, Season One on DVD. I know there are a million LOST fan websites where people post their theories and speculations on the mysteries of the show, but I’ve not (yet) looked at them. I suspect that any theories I might have are far from original — I’m sure someone else had them before me. But I’m going to spill my thoughts anyway, because I think they’re interesting. Yes, I know I’m a year behind the curve here. Just bear with me.
And so it begins with the most basic of questions.

Lost: One of several reasons I’ve been MIA on this blog for the past week.
I’ve been sort of absent from this site for about a week. There are a number of things I’ve been busy with. Most of them are fairly good excuses to neglect this site — real work and the like.
That having been said, I’ve become completely obsessed with ABC’s LOST. Yeah, I’m one of those people now. I didn’t watch the first season. No real reason — I simply didn’t get into it at the beginning and didn’t see a reason to start half-way through. But I noticed ABC was doing a one-hour recap of season one prior to their season two premiere last week, so I checked it out. And I was hooked. Just like that. If you haven’t, you simply must check this show out.
Yesterday afternoon, I bought the season one DVDs. There are 25 episodes. Seven DVDs. Last night I watch the first four DVDs (16 episodes) in a row. I was up until four o’clock. I couldn’t stop. I watched episode 17 on my lunch break today. I’m hoping to finish them all before Wednesday’s new episode.
So, if you don’t hear from me for a few days, It’s because I’m lost in LOST. See you on the flip side.

Aquarium dolphins found at sea after Katrina
Incredible. Aquarium dolphins from Mississippi were actually swept out to sea by Katrina’s 40-foot surge wave. They’re underweight and injured, and will be rescued back into captivity.
